Note: Some mangoes do not change color when ripe so always go by softness when determining whether or not a mango is ripe.
When ripe, it should have a good amount of give when you squeeze it, but do not let it get completely squishy.
Black spots on the outside skin of mangoes are normal and will not affect the inside of the fruit as long as it's not overripe.
