It's golden passionfruit season!
This variety has a thick yellow skin, often tinged with spots of lime green. The inside of its shell has soft white walls that encase a very juicy yellow-orange pulp and many little edible seeds.
Passionfruits are best eaten when the outer shell is very wrinkly. That's when it is most ripe.
Its flavor is sweet, acidic, and tropical with mild floral notes.
