It's atemoya season!
Atemoya is a mix of sugar apple and cherimoya. It is a rare member of the anonna family.
(Annona cherimola × squamosa)
The flesh is juicy and smooth. The flavor is sweet.
We typically include two varieties of atemoya in the atemoya boxes. Geffner typically has pronounced "spikes" on the outer skin and African Pride (AP) is usually more smooth.
Pro tip: If you wan't larger fruits, we recommend ordering the large box, because we can only fit smaller sized fruits inside our small boxes.
Here is what atemoya looks like on the inside.
Due to severe weather there may be some external blemishes/cracks on the outside of the green atemoyas. This will not affect the inside of the fruit.
Are you a rare Annona lover? We have a limited amount of Red Atemoyas available this week.
