Hidden Rose Apple season is incoming!Â
Discoveries can happen in the most unexpected places. In the 1960s, an Oregon fruit farmer stumbled upon something remarkable when they took a bite of an unknown fruit. This fruit turned out to be the Hidden Rose Apple, known for its stunning pinkish-red interior. Although this special tree was lost for 20 years, it was eventually rediscovered, leading to the establishment of the first Hidden Rose orchard in 1992.

The beautiful pink color of these luscious apples comes from natural anthocyanin pigments, which belong to a group of compounds known as flavonoids. These compounds have antioxidant properties, which means they can help fight unstable molecules called free radicals that can damage cells and increase the risk of certain illnesses.Â
