Origin: Orange Jackfruit is a rare and colorful variety of jackfruit, the largest tree fruit in the world. Known for its bold orange flesh and fragrant aroma, this unique type is grown in small batches in South Florida and prized for its rich flavor and softer texture.
Flavor Profile: Exceptionally sweet and juicy, fresh orange jackfruit tastes like a blend of mango, banana, and Juicy Fruit gum with a hint of citrus. The flavor is bright and tropical, and the flesh is smooth and tender.
How To Eat: This is a soft, easy-to-open variety with minimal latex. Let it ripen until the outside has a good amount of give and gives off a fruity, floral scent. Once ripe, cut it open and enjoy the sunset-colored pods fresh or chilled. Store any extras in the fridge or freeze for later.
First come first serve, any orders that can't be shipped this season will be reserved for next season.
- Approximately 10-20 pounds per Orange Jackfruit. It all depends on the season, weather, and the shipping location. The fruit may occasionally be smaller if it’s a small variety or if shipping to a very distant region.
