Native to Bolivia and grown throughout parts of Central America and the Caribbean, Achachairú (Garcinia humilis) was later introduced to Australia, where it became known simply as "Achacha" for easier pronunciation. Our fruit is grown right here in sunny South Florida and harvested at peak ripeness.
Achacha is loved for its refreshing balance of sweet and tangy flavors. Many people compare the taste to fresh lemonade, with a bright, tropical twist that keeps you coming back for more. As a member of the garcinia family, it shares a similar appearance and juicy texture with mangosteen.
How to eat: Gently pinch or cut the shell, then squeeze and twist it open. Enjoy the juicy white flesh surrounding the seeds, but do not eat the seeds.
Our Achachairús are picked tree ripened and shipped ready to eat. For the best flavor and experience, enjoy them as soon as they arrive.
