Origin: The Gold Nugget mandarin was bred in California and is a hybrid of Wilking (King Tangor x Willowleaf Mandarin) x Kincy (King Tangor x Dancy Mandarin).
Flavor Profile: This mandarin has a rich, sweet citrus flavor because there is some orange in its lineage. It's named "gold nugget" because the fruit’s rind is bumpy and ribbed. Unlike some other mandarins, Gold Nuggets do not usually have a nipple at the stem end where the fruit attaches to the tree.
How To Eat: These Gold Nugget Mandarins are ready to eat as soon as they are picked and can be consumed as soon as you receive them. Gold Nugget Mandarins are the perfect fast and delicious snack- or meal! Simply peel and enjoy! They're very sweet and juicy.
