MAMAYZING PUMPKIN PIE 🍰 SMOOTHIE RECIPE + MORE 🌈

Welcome to another special harvest update newsletter. The photographs in this update are taken by Christian Jaramillo also known as @chrisjaramedia. He is an amazing photographer and videographer. The lovely lady on the left is Barbara, she comes over almost every week to hang out and help Riley process ripe fruit into freeze dried fruit. Riley is on the right, this angel is the fruit processing manager. The woman in the middle is me, Edelle! I write all of these newsletters and post daily on instagram and Facebook. Any messages on instagram are answered by me. Rane, the co-owner of Miamifruit, responds to emails, so if you reply to this newsletter, you will be getting a response from him! Small businesses are awesome, thank you for supporting us, we're humans just like you! :)

Barbara was born in Cuba, and moved to Miami. Mamey sapote is a well known fruit in Cuba, and Barbara absolutely adores this fruit. She comes to us because she knows we have the best quality mamey sapote.

Riley has lived in many places, but when people ask where she's from, she usually responds New Orleans. When Riley and I lived together in Hawaii, we used to feast on soursop together. She was beyond exited to move to Miami to be able to feast on this amazing fruit again.

Here in Miami, we don't eat apples (unless they're sugar apple) but we do eat guavas like apples. Make sure to wait until the fruit is soft and squishy before chomping.

We are super stoked about attending the Canada Fruit Festival. Festivals are a great place to meet likeminded people and cultivate long lasting relationships. We made some lifelong friends at Woodstock, and plan to do the same with you at the Canada Fruit Fest! Click HERE to enter the contest to win free tickets.
As fruit eaters life can be easy with little preparation. All you have to do is bite into a ripe fruit and you're good! Sometimes however, you can't bring a whole bag of ripe fruit on your bike, this is why we love eating freeze dried and dehydrated fruit. RIND snacks is a small business based in New York. The owner is originally from Florida and loves ordering tropical fruit from us. The cool thing about this company that makes them stand out is not only is it just pure dried fruit with no sulfates, but they also dehydrate fruit without the peel! Meaning you get extra fiber with each bite. So amazing. Check them out HERE.
