Welcome to another harvest update! We want to preface this by letting you know that usually around this time of year we are harvesting dozens to hundreds of pounds of star apple and custard apple, but due to hurricane irma damages, more fruits are limited in availability this year.
We are so grateful that Mamey Sapote is not limited right now. We were able to include two of them in each variety box this week! Mamey makes a satiating meal.

Nam Wah bananas are also abundant. We love the silky texture of this banana. It also makes amazingly smooth banana ice cream.

Pink guava is in abundance right now as well. This fruit can be eaten completely, skin, seeds, and all, but if you're looking for a special treat, we highly recommend making guava juice by blending them and straining the pulp.
As some of you may know, we used to grow hawaiian purple sweet potato in a couple garden beds, but after hurricane irma, the irrigation system was down too long and we lost our crop. Luckily, we got these beautiful babies imported straight form Hawaii!

Dehydrated sapodila chips make a great fiber filled sweetener, but we often enjoy them on their own as a snack. They taste like the cereal Golden Grahams. 

Unlike the soursop that you’d normally find that spent weeks in transit, our soursop will only last a few days off of the tree because they’re picked at peak maturity.
This cacao cutie is one of our amazing customers. Each variety box got one cacao this week. Make sure to eat your cacao as soon as possible. They will be ripe and ready as soon as you receive your box. We really like adding them to our smoothies to make the flavor chocolatey. You can refridgerate or freeze any beans that you don't eat right away.
Riley and durian are a match made in heaven. Seriously though, we cannot get enough of this frozen musang king durian. It's so rich and delicious. Definitely a must try.
