Origin: Cacao is believed to have evolved in the Upper Amazon region in an area that now includes some of Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. From there it spread Northward. Our Cacao is grown sustainably in Ecuador.
Flavor Profile: We freeze dry the Cacao beans with the outer sweet fruit. When you eat freeze dried cacao, you will first taste the sweet outside of the fruit and then when you bite into it, you can taste the bitter chocolate seed.
How To Eat: Add them to smoothies or top your favorite smoothie bowl. Eat them as a morning snack to give you an energy boost for the rest of your day. A huge benefit to having freeze dried fruit is not only the amazing crunchy light texture, but also the fact that it will last for many years which means you can enjoy your favorite Miami Fruits year round!
Each Packet Contains: Approximately 45 Grams of Freeze Dried Cacao

Excellent quality and truly exceptional taste. The freeze-drying process preserves the natural flavor and integrity of the cacao beans while maintaining their valuable nutrients. These cacao beans are naturally rich in polyphenols, magnesium, flavonoids, and other bioactive compounds that help support multiple systems in the body, including cardiovascular health, brain function, and overall cellular protection. It’s rare to find cacao that tastes this fresh and clean while still retaining such nutritional value. I’m also planning to order a box of their fresh fruits soon. Supporting local farmers who provide products of this quality is something I’m happy to continue doing.
These were delicious and very flavorful !! Perfectly crunchy and sweet, with notes of bitterness from the seed. Definitely recommend trying these out. Shipping was also very fast
We absolutely love the dried cacao! The outer layer is sweet and the inner cacao nibs are so delicious and smooth. So much better than store bough cacao nibs! Our 3 year old son is obsessed with them.

I enjoyed the freeze dried cacao! It satisfied my cacao craving. If you can’t get your hands on the actual fruit, or like to eat it over a long period of time, this is a good temporary substitute! I found the quality of this to be better than some of the regular fruit due to ripening/freshness/when you receive fresh fruit.
LOVE these Nam Wah Bananas! I have been using them in my smoothies and the texture and flavor is amazing! They are creamy and sweet! Delicious! I use 4 a day and when they ripened, I froze the ones that needed to be used. I make “nice cream” with these bananas, water, and raw cacao. Customer for life! ❤️🥰😍
I really like these. I didn’t find them to be super bitter and inedible but I like unsweetened chocolate. You can also throw a couple in a smoothie for fun!
The whole experience of getting to try cacao beans with the dried fruit was pretty exciting. I was quite surprised how, presumably without the fermentation process, how much they really did taste like chocolate. The whole idea of being able, in theory, to try some of these exotic fruits is pretty exciting.
This was my first purchase of freeze dried cacao and I love it. It's much better than dehydrated whole cacao beans with the fruit on it. These are nice and crunchy with just the right amount of sweetness to balance the cacao bean. I've eaten a whole bag already and need to order more!
WOW!! I've always wanted to try the cacao fruit, but never knew where to find it. Before committing to a fresh pod, I tried the freeze dried version -- and i'm so happy I did! It's absolutely delicious (and a great way to try the fruit's flavor without the hassle of opening the pod)
Omg, these are so darn delicious. They showed up on my doorstep like magic, delivered straight from the heavenly fruit gods.
Packaged nicely, I could smell the fresh fruit scent even before I cut open the box.
This was really a splurge order. I wish I could afford to order a monthly subscription box!
Just wanted to say thank you for a sweet box of sunshine goodness that only Miami Fruit could deliver.
Overall I really liked it, however it can be kind of a mixed bag. Some of the pieces didn't have very much flavor aside from being overpoweringly bitter, however more often they will be tart, slightly sweet, and have a great fruit flavor that compliments the bitter cacao flavor that you probably already recognize.
