Important Info: Sugar Apple matures in a variety of sizes. To guarantee you receive larger sized fruits, please order a Large & Jumbo Size Fruit box.
Origin: Sugar Apple is native to the tropics of South America and the West Indies, and is also cultivated in Mexico, the Bahamas, Bermuda, and South Florida. Sugar Apple is the most widely grown member of the Anonna family.
Flavor Profile: It is similar in sweetness to Atemoya, but has a different flavor.
How To Eat: Sugar Apple may need time to ripen on your counter at room temperature of 70 degrees or above after arrival. This fruit is ripe when soft all over. Enjoy the insides, and spit out the seeds! (see video & ripening guide below for guidance)
First come first serve, any orders that can't be shipped this season will be reserved for next season.
The total weight of each box varies depending on the size, shape, and mass of the fruit:
- One Fruit contains 1 piece of fruit (sizing varies)
- Small Box contains up to 3-5 pounds
- Large Box contains up to 8-10 pounds
- Extra Large Box contains up to 16-20 pounds
- Bulk Box contains up to 34-40 pounds
*Please note: One Fruit Large/Jumbo Sugar Apple orders will contain a single fruit that weighs .75 lbs or greater when shipping.
We ALWAYS recommend ordering a LARGE BOX for the best value, when compared to a Small Box. Because shipping, handling, and delivery are so expensive per package, the Large Box will contain more fruit and ultimately a better value.

Great experience ordering jumbo custard apples from Miami Fruit. The box came a few days after the first shipping email and contained 10 large custard apples. They were well packed and ripened within 2 days of delivery. We enjoyed them very much.
I have ordered from Miami fruits couple times and honestly they don’t dis appoint, The fruits arrived intact and fresh. The fruits were ready to eat in couple days-following their guidelines that came with the fruits. Sugar apples are one of fav fruit in my family. They were sweet,pulpy and good size as well. I was nervous to try it but it was exactly how it tastes in my home country! I am so happy. I shared it with other who had tried it and some who hadn’t tried it and everybody loved it, which is unusual, but truly the fruit was amazing. I go to all lengths to get the best fruit. Most of them were beautiful.

We just received our first order on sugar apple. We were skeptical and not sure after we saw all the reviews online . Since we had not eaten them in almost a decade we took chance and ordered. The fruit arrived in perfect condition . They were both big and small sized ones as in pic. They are slowly ripening and the ones we had so far are very sweet and delicious. Overall we are happy with our first time purchase and plan to do more if they will keep up the same high quality of fruit and delivery.(as they are expensive . )
I had not eaten Sweetsops since leaving Jamaica many many years ago. I was so delighted to be able to purchase these. They were delicious! They arrived with two being ready to eat, and the rest were ripe within a few days. So delicious!!!! Yum!!!!
