Origin: Praying Hands Bananas originated in the Philippines and Indonesia. They are closely related to the Blue Java Banana.
Flavor Profile: This banana is dense and juicy with a sweet custard-like flavor. The the outside of the banana has a marshmallow consistency and the inside is more chewy. It has an overall creamy, pleasant texture.
How To Eat: You will want to wait until the skin of these bananas is soft and then the outer most bananas will pull away easily from the rest of the bunch. Do so gently so you don't rip the skin of the banana next to it if you don't want to eat them all at once.
The praying hands banana looks like a pair of hands praying because of the way the bananas are fused together.
