Description
This box contains a variety of unique bananas that we currently have from our weekly harvests! Bananas are in season for us year-round in South Florida. You will always receive a minimum of 3 varieties in your box.
Each week we harvest the bananas that are fully developed. We grow many varieties in small amounts, so you never know exactly what you will get until you receive your box.
How to tell when an exotic USA-grown banana is ripe:
Ensure you are ripening bananas at 70 degrees Fahrenheit or above. Always go by softness and easiness to peel. They may or may not have spots when they are ready. The praying hands should be very wrinkly at the tips when ready to eat.
The total weight of each box varies depending on the size, shape, and mass of the fruit:
Small Box contains up to 3-5 pounds
Large Box contains up to 8-10 pounds
Extra Large Box contains up to 16-20 pounds
Bulk Box contains up to 34-40 pounds
We ALWAYS recommend ordering a LARGE BOX for the best value, when compared to a Small Box. Because shipping, handling, and delivery are so expensive per package, the Large Box will contain more fruit and ultimately a better value.

Love the variety of fruit that we have received and been able to experience. It's fun to try new things, and all the fruit that we have received has been fresh and incredibly flavorful. And a Gros Michel banana! I'm so excited that I was able to try one. LOVE MIAMI FRUIT!!!!
2nd time getting the Banana variety box, they arrived in great condition, the other fruits in the photo are from the variety box i got this month.
This is a fraction of what arrived in my banana box. Love these different bananas. It's so interesting to have a softer banana, or one that has pink or orange hues. They have different flavors and while I'm sure you can do tons with this-banana ice cream, etc- I mostly just enjoy them raw. So so so good.

Delicious bananas. They ripened at different times so I didn't feel overwhelmed to eat them. Fantastic on some French toast and on their own. There's probably some great banana bread in my future too!
Shipping was fast and I received several different types of bananas in my variety box. A few arrived slightly bruised but customer service was quick to offer either replacements or store credit. They also identified all of the types of bananas I received after I sent them a picture. I will definitely buy more fruit from Miami Fruit in the future.
I’ve actually known about Miami Fruit for a few years and really, really wanted to try it, but I was worried about getting fruit shipped. However, the shipping was fast, and I was amazed by the quality and taste of these bananas. I actually regret not getting a bigger box. I’ll definitely order more from Miami Fruit to try out some fun fruits!

Bananas arrived in good shape. They’re beginning to turn color, but they aren’t ready yet. I gave four stars rather than five due to not knowing how they’re going to taste.

My boyfriend loves bananas, especially the blue Java, so I thought I’d order the small variety pack and see what happens. Unfortunately, I’m not sure it was packed with this box, but I will definitely contact the woman to find out the different kinds it does have now. That’s also such a great idea to include with the site, so thank you for the good customer support and I hope I’m wrong and we do have the blue Java, fingers crossed. Thanks!!
Top notch service! I wasn't too sure what was in my variety banana box and IsaBella responded quickly by labeling for me the bananas in my box for me. They were tasty and arrived with some yellow and green as you can tell by the photo which allowed us all to enjoy them over time witout having to eat so many so quick! Looking forward to trying many more unique items from the store!
Got the large box, and it came with 6 varieties! All of them were delicious, especially what I believe to be the mysore, which really did have notes of strawberry shortcake. One thing to note is that they tell you what's in the box, but the individual bananas aren't labeled, so it's up to you to figure out which is which. I didn't mind this, so for me this box was a 10/10. Also, as a tip, the Hua Moa banana takes a long time to ripen--despite it being yellow and starting to brown and the outside having some give, it was a bit under-ripe when I opened it, so give it a couple extra days if you get this one :)
Love the variety of flavors and textures. Great sautéd in butter with pancakes and with ice cream! Wish there was info, pictures or labels on which types were in the box.
Love these bananas but was expecting more of a less yellow variety of banana as seen on the site images. The flavors of each were sweet and floral-like to me(which is great!). The one on the photo I sent was surprisingly the most common in number. Great fruit for snacks, compared to the typical store-bought variety, and breakfast!

We bought this after seeing it on Weird Explorer on YouTube. There were I think 7 different varieties of banana. We were able to identify most of them but a couple we weren't 100% sure. All of them were interesting and really different from a cavendish. The best were the mysore, or at least what we assume was mysore. They all reached ripeness at really different times, so you got to enjoy them over the course of several weeks. Definitely glad we got the banana box since it's rare to get more than one kind of banana, never mind a flight of bananas.
So fun getting to try all these banana varieties you won’t ever find in the store! I could only identify a few (I think) but I can tell you they were all delicious !💛 🍌
i bought the variety banana box after getting the fruit variety box and falling in love with the bananas included. my favourite so far is the namwah. it's really fun trying all the different fruits that aren't available locally.
I am so excited to try all of these bananas. There was an issue with shipping, and Miami Fruit took care of it right away. Everything came in excellent condition. The packing used to protect the fruit is great to use in the chicken coop for nesting material

Excellent bananas. Most came at a similar ripeness, so we needed to use them all around the same time, but other than that they tasted great.
These bananas are so good, even my cat tries to snag a taste! A few took very long to ripen, but it’s worth it!

We had a lot of fun tasting the different bananas for the first time and trying to think of different recipes to use them in.
We absolutely love these boxes! They are a nice treat to add fruit we just cannot get in our rural town! They always arrive ready to go and the fruit is delicious❤️
Pretty good variety in this box, honestly I was looking for more blue ice cream bananas but I'll accept what we have. I'd recommend really adding a better info card of the bananas in the box because this was a gift to family and they were confused for a second on what they got. Overall 4/5

I don't like bananas, but after receiving this box I found out I just don't like Cavendish bananas! This box included several varieties of banana, some of which arrived ripe and ready to enjoy. These bananas don't just taste better than Cavendish bananas, they have better texture, too. Much better than the mushy bananas I'm used to from grocery stores. If you're a banana fan (a fanana?), you need to try these bananas. Also? I shared them with friends and family and they were a very popular treat!
My story was like so many others: I learned that we've only eaten one kind of banana, the Cavendish, when there are so many more. I wanted to try more, to expand my banana horizons. So I ordered a large variety box of bananas. Oh foolish child, if only I knew the delights in store. A plethora of bananas arrived, fruit both great and small, red and green, soft and firm, sweet and starchy. I tended them carefully, ensuring they were properly ripened before beginning my banana feast, and feast I did, for I have never eaten so many bananas, nor have I tasted bananas so flavorful and sweet. I ate my fill and more, yet there was never enough. Never enough bananas. Curse you, Miami Fruit! You've forever ruined regular bananas for me. I've touched the face of the Banana God, flown too close to the crescent banana sun. You've awakened in me a tropical hunger which can never be quenched, imprinted indelibly a resonant Bananas Foster upon my soul. The Cavendish is but a shadow of the banana's true radiance, a flaccid, fruity imposter, a reminder of the heights to which it can soar, but does not. Cannot. Just now I finished a lowly Cavendish, pedestrian and plain. Where before I'd feel contentment, now all I feel is shame. Tl;dr;too weird: great bananas and customer service. My first box was a bit light. I sent them an email and they followed up with way more bananas than was necessary. Score:🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌/ 🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌, will 🍌 again.
I had a great time with this variety box! At first I didn't realize they published a list of everything that was included in their blog so I spent way too much time trying to figure them out! The bananas were incredibly interesting and the variety box was a great way to be introduced to a large number of different options. I particularly enjoyed the Nam Wahs and Goldfingers!
