Origin: Annona is a genus of flowering plants in the sugar apple/ soursop family, Annonaceae. It is the second largest genus in the family containing approximately 166 species of mostly Neotropical and Afrotropical trees and shrubs.
Flavor Profile: Annonaceae is one of our favorite fruit families for its wide range of flavors, textures, and colors. Not only are these fruits gorgeous, but they taste delicious too!
Your Anonna Variety Box will contain 3 or more Annona varieties such as:
Soursop (Guanabana)
Red Atemoya (Temoylata)
Green Atemoya (African Pride and/or Geffner)
Sugar Apple (Sweetsop)
Purple Sugar Apple (Sweetsop)
How To Eat: These fruits ripen very quickly. We recommend storing these fruits at 70 degrees or above for optimal ripening. We recommend eating or refrigerating each one soon as it is soft. Do not refrigerate before it is ripe. Check out our Ripening Guide here for specific fruit information!
The sizes of the fruit varies greatly. They may be small or large depending on what’s ready to harvest.
Recommended Shipping Method: We recommend selecting overnight shipping at the checkout. Overnight shipping means we will ship it next day air when it is ready. It does not mean we will ship the fruit the day after you order.
First come first serve, any orders that can't be shipped this season will be reserved for next season.
The total weight of each box varies depending on the size, shape, and mass of the fruit:
- Small Box contains up to 3-5 pounds
- Large Box contains up to 8-10 pounds
We ALWAYS recommend ordering a LARGE BOX for the best value, when compared to a Small Box. Because shipping, handling, and delivery are so expensive per package, the Large Box will contain more fruit and ultimately a better value.

Great fruits, ripens very quick in the span of 1-2 days.

Is this expensive? Absolutely. However this is one of the best deals you can buy in terms of variety and quality (I got the large, and it came with 13 lbs of fruit!). I hadn't tried beyond atemoya and soursop before, every single fruit here is incredible in its own way. Fruits were a mix of ripe and hard, which is perfect, none pour quality. Rollinia with its lemony, appley, cream taste, atemoya with its bright vegetal sweetness, cherimoya with the rich creamy, earthy flavor, red atomya with the berry-like notes, custard apple with its yogurty taste, and of course sour sop. I will definitely buy again as a special occasion celebration.

Only the Rollinia is ripe upon arrival but it was so delicious I had to leave a 5 star review. Absolutely incredible!

Absolutely loved the variety. While each is different in taste (some are more floral and some more tangy), the fruits all shared the texture of sweet cream custard. Delicious!

More than I thought would come in a small variety box - and this Rollina is perfectly ripe right out of the box! Usually I just go for the custard apples (which are also very good) but this time trying my luck with the variety box. Looking at these yummy treats, I don’t think I’ll be disappointed!

Loved this box. All of the fruit was amazing. I've had some of these a few times before from various places, but never quite this good. My favorite was (what I think was) the Lisa atemoya (top left in my pic. I base that guess on never having had a gefner of pride that "spiky", or delicious, but feel free to correct me if I'm off). It was so juicy and sweet, I needed napkins with every bite. I also really like the textures of the custard apple and cherimoya. They remind me of my favorite annonacea, the pawpaw (though same family, not annonas, different genus.). I'd highly recommend this box for those who are either already annonas lovers and want a little bit of everything, or people curious about annonas fruit. It's a great opportunity to try a nice variety and get a rare chance to have them back to back to compare and discover what you like.
