Introducing the Ilama Tree, an exotic tropical fruit tree that’s a rare gem for fruit enthusiasts!
Native to Central America, the Ilama (Annona diversifolia) produces unique, heart-shaped fruits with a sweet, creamy flesh. Depending on the variety, the fruit can have either a pink or white interior, offering flavors reminiscent of custard with subtle hints of berry, citrus, and tropical spices.
These trees come in a 1-gallon pot and are between 1 to 2 feet tall. Despite their young size, they are mature and ready to establish themselves in the ground or a large container. As they grow, Ilama trees are well-suited to warm, subtropical climates and thrive in USDA zones 9-11.
With proper care, your Ilama Tree will grow into a medium-sized tree, eventually reaching 15 to 30 feet at maturity. Ilama fruits are a rare treat, often prized for their complex flavors and creamy texture, making them perfect for fresh eating or use in tropical desserts.
