Also known as “sugar fruit”. This passionfruit variety is more sweet than sour. In the same family (passiflora) as regular sour passionfruit. No need to wait until wrinkly. They are ready to eat as soon as you receive them. Texture inside is exactly like passionfruit, but flavor is sweet like papaya.
It grows on a vine and needs tropical conditions to thrive. This fruit is grown in Florida.

I have an unusual review because I actually purchased boxes of granadilla from both Miami Fruit and Tropical Fruit Box. I have ordered from both before and find both great companies with great fruit. I ordered two boxes of granadilla because I love them and normally only get them outside of the US so I thought why not! I have to say that the Miami Fruit granadilla were substantially superior in packaging and as a result overall quality. Probably 1/2-3/4 my fruit from TFB were sadly broken and crushed while my Miami fruit were pristine. Photo shows the difference in packaging. Miami fruit was more expensive but honestly I would order from them instead because of care they took before sending me my fruit. Thanks!
I loved these. They are delicious. They came packaged so well. I opened one up in the picture just to show what the fruit looks like on the inside. It was absolutely worthwhile to have a fruit I have such fond memories of eating in Colombia. My only concern was that I preordered the package and emailed to ask when I would be receiving them. I was told I would be getting them in 2-3 months but they were listed as "in season" on the next day and I received a notification that they were going to be picked up by FedEx for delivery. They were picked up around 6 pm and delivered to my house several states away at 12 pm the following day. I am glad I was home to receive them.
Look at those perfect little pockets of deliciousness! I wasn't sure if my family would like this but the entire box was gone within minutes of arrival. Delivery was freaky fast and everything was perfectly ripe.
My only regret is that I didnt order the large box! I'm super stoked though I've sprouted some seeds from the grenadilla and I'm going to try and grow some!
Absolutely delicious! I had granadillas when I was in Ecuador thirteen years ago. So when I saw that they were available this year, I ordered them. Was very excited that I would again be experiencing eating what I considered this exotic fruit. I shared with a friend and also placed an order for them. I really liked the surprise box. The different bananas were really good. The other fruits were a great experience. I had my last piece of fruit today and not sure how it was going to taste since I had had it in the refrigerator for some time. It looked like a tangerine, but the flavor was honey orange and was very juicy. I will order again.
These guys were great they got us very very difficult to find grenadia. We reordered several times. I only wish they had it all year round I can give Miami fruit my highest recommendation
Granadilla reminds me of home. So excited that I could find it. I have ordered a couple of boxes this season. Terrific fruit and quick delivery. The fruit is a sweet version of passionfruit. Very pleased.

my partner's all time fave fruit. she did study abroad in ecuador as a kid and we can't get these anywhere else, they're a phenomenal treat. came packaged wonderfully and with minimal transit damage. perfect ripeness and just how she remembers them
Awesome! Had made a preorder for these fruits because I’d rather buy them here than pay the trip to my country and buy them there and only able to enjoy them there.
