Origin: According to reports, a Saigon seedling was planted in Miami, Florida, in 1940 and eventually ended up on Roscoe E. Glenn's property in 1943. The tree started producing fruit in 1945 and was found to be of high quality. Today, Glen Mangoes are grown in South Florida primarily.
Flavor Profile: Glen Mangoes have a delectable taste reminiscent of peaches with a hint of coconut. They are also a variety of mango that is free of fibrous strands.
How To Eat: Mangos should be left on a counter or in a pantry at room temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit or above for optimal ripening. Once soft all over, cut into each cheek and spoon out the inner flesh!
First come first serve, any orders that can't be shipped this season will be reserved for next season.
The total weight of each box varies depending on the size, shape, and mass of the fruit:
- Small Box contains up to 3-5 pounds
- Large Box contains up to 8-10 pounds
We ALWAYS recommend ordering a LARGE BOX for the best value, when compared to a Small Box. The Large Box will contain more fruit and ultimately a better value because shipping, handling, and delivery are so expensive per package.
