Origin: The Fairchild Emerald mango is a named cultivar that originated in South Florida. It was likely selected on Pine Island, Florida, and may have Bombay mango in its parentage.

Flavor Profile: The Fairchild Emerald mango is celebrated for its rich, aromatic flavor and vibrant, fiberless flesh. Described as having an Indian or West Indian essence, reminiscent of the Bombay cultivar, it was rightfully honored as a Curator's Choice mango at the 2010 Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden's Mango Festival.

How To Eat: For optimal ripening, mangoes should be left on a counter or in a pantry at room temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit or above. Once soft all over, cut into each cheek and spoon out the inner flesh!
