Origin: A unique cultivar of Dimocarpus longan, the Diamond River Longan grows in select tropical microclimates. It produces fruit with a thin, tan shell that encases translucent, glossy pulp—firm yet tender, with a bite similar to lychee but smoother and more honeyed in taste.
Flavor Profile: Expect an incredibly rich, syrupy sweetness with hints of wildflower honey and white grape. Diamond River is often described as tasting like nature’s dessert—refreshing, floral, and deeply satisfying. It's less tart than lychee and more fragrant than other longans.
How To Eat: Diamond River Longans arrive tree-ripened and ready to enjoy. Simply crack the shell with your fingers and pop out the juicy flesh. For maximum shelf life, refrigerate any uneaten fruit immediately after arrival.
First come first serve, any orders that can't be shipped this season will be reserved for next season.
The total weight of each box varies depending on the size, shape, and mass of the fruit:
- One Pound contains up to 1 pound
- Small Box contains up to 3-5 pounds
- Large Box contains up to 8-10 pounds
- Extra Large Box contains up to 16-20 pounds
- Bulk Box contains up to 32-40 pounds
We ALWAYS recommend ordering a LARGE BOX for the best value, when compared to a Small Box. Because shipping, handling, and delivery are so expensive per package, the Large Box will contain more fruit and ultimately a better value.
