Emperor Lychee is one of the more rare and sought after varieties in the world. It was said that only the Emperor had these lychees growing in their palace. The fruit is BIG and extremely juicy - a burst of juice and flavor in every bite. The flavor is sweet and has a light tang to it, but what really makes this variety special is the experience of eating such large and juicy bites! Fit for an Emperor.

Lychee is a tropical and subtropical fruit native to the Guangdong and Fujian provinces of China, and now cultivated in many parts of the world.

The fresh fruit has a delicate, whitish pulp with a floral smell and a fragrant, sweet flavor. Since this perfume-like flavor is lost in the process of canning, the fruit is usually eaten fresh.

It makes the perfect on the go snack, and is a great substitute for candy.

We grow multiple varieties of lychee here in South Florida, If you order this Emperor lychee box, you will receive the Emperor variety. We only ship fresh lychee grown in Florida.

After it is picked, lychee skin stays pink for only 2 days. Imported lychess are often sprayed with preservatives to keep them pink. This is why we do not sell imported lychees.

It is possible that the outside of your lychees may turn brown in transit. They will still be good to eat 1-2 weeks after they are picked depending on how they are stored. You can prolong the oxidation by storing them in a plastic bag. We recommend eating the lychee as soon as you get them and refrigerate any left over.

The season for lychees is very short. Emperor Lychee harvesting in South Florida is typically during the month of June.

The total weight of each box varies depending on the size, shape, and mass of the fruit:
Small Box contains up to 3-5 pounds.
- Large Box contains up to 8-10 pounds.

We ALWAYS recommend ordering a LARGE BOX for the best value, when compared to a Small Box. Because shipping, handling, and delivery are so expensive per package, the Large Box will contain more fruit and ultimately a better value.

USDA restricts the shipment of lychee from Florida to California at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience.
