Origin: Gamboge is native to parts of India and the Malay Peninsula. Gambooge, is also known as Garcenia Tinctoria.
Flavor Profile: Gamboge is truly one of a kind- it has the soft innards reminiscent of a mangosteen, with larger seeds. The flavor is very sour. This fruit is very high in Vitamin C.
When you try this fruit, you will notice a flavor explosion immediately in your mouth.
How To Eat: This fruit may need time to ripen after delivery. Ripen at room temperature of 70 degrees or above for optimal consumption. Ensure your Gamboge is squeeze-able on all sides, and when it is-- enjoy!
