Description

Origin: Citrus Aurantiifolia is native to Southeast Asia. Its path of introduction was through the Middle East to North Africa, then to Sicily and Andalucia and then, via Spanish explorers, to the West Indies, including the Florida Keys. Henry Perrine is credited with introducing the Key lime to Florida.  Our Key limes are non gmo and seeded.

Flavor Profile: Key limes are small, with a distinctive lime flavor that is tart but not too acidic. They have a distinct aroma, that is far more aromatic than common limes.

How To Eat: You can eat when you receive them. They will also turn yellow as they ripen. Can be refrigerated to prolong life, but will not ripen in the fridge. Squeeze juice in beverages and on food. You can eat unripe, but is better when ripe. This amazing fruit also makes delicious key lime pies and irresistible raw vegan ceviches.

First come first serve, any orders that can't be shipped this season will be reserved for next season.

The total weight of each box varies depending on the size, shape, and mass of the fruit:

  • One Fruit contains 1 piece of fruit (sizing varies)
  • Small Box contains up to 3-5 pounds
  • Large Box contains up to 8-10 pounds
  • Extra Large Box contains up to 16-20 pounds
  •  Bulk Box contains up to 34-40 pounds

We ALWAYS recommend ordering a LARGE BOX for the best value, when compared to a Small Box. Because shipping, handling, and delivery are so expensive per package, the Large Box will contain more fruit and ultimately a better value.
