Origin: Peanut Butter Fruit originates from the Andes region of South America and is currently grown most commonly as an ornamental plant. These are grown fresh from our farm! The trees were planted from seed only a few years ago. You can grow your own Peanut Butter Fruit trees with the seeds from these fruits!
Flavor Profile: This interesting fruit tastes like a mixture of natural peanut butter and mild sweet jelly, hence the name peanut butter fruit.
How to Eat: Peanut Butter Fruit must be red and soft before eating! This color change is how you know it is ripe. The texture will be ultra smooth like creamy peanut butter. It is a very perishable fruit so once it is ripe, it will need refrigerated if you don't plan to eat it all at once.
The total weight of each box varies depending on the size, shape, and mass of the fruit:
- Tester Box contains 1 pint
- Small Box contains 2 pints
- Large Box contains 4 pints
First come first serve, any orders that can't be shipped this season will be reserved for next season.
