Marang tastes like a roasted marshmallow- but better! This jackfruit relative contains one small seed in every succulent little white pulpy pod. The flavor is sweet and delicious, and the texture and look are similar to a mix of jackfruit and cacao pulp.
Artocarpus odoratissimus is a species of flowering plant in the Moraceae family. It is a commonly called marang, madang, timadang, terap, tarap, kiran, green pedalai, or johey oak.
Enjoy the pulp frozen or thawed. If using it to make a smoothie or ice cream, make sure to remove the seeds before blending.
