Jamun, also known as Java plum, is native to India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and the Andaman Islands. Our Jamun grows here in South Florida!
This remarkable fruit has a rich history, dating back to the Neolithic period. In Hindu mythology, it holds a sacred place and is called the "Fruit of the Gods."
This fruit is slightly astringent and is often used in recipes to add a gorgeous purple color. It is also used to help fix poor digestion.
