I saw on Weird Fruit Explorer an actual Cacao pod, and really wanted to try it. Was excited when Miami Fruit carried from. The fruit is delicious, and it was really exciting to try something so exotic. I couldn't eat the raw seeds, they were too bitter, so I baked them and turned them into cacao nibs and wow, they are better than anything I could have bought at the store. Thank you SO MUCH for carrying tropical fruits, Miami Fruit. They are way better than the apples and pears I am used to.

Very happy with my order. The customer service is great, they processed my order quickly, and the shipping was fast! Had a small issue with my address and they fixed it immediately.
I bought the smaller sized cacao box and got 3 full pods, which I turned into chocolate! I would definitely recommend this product/company, especially if you find a coupon or they are having a special.

I did not know that you could eat cacao pods until I stumbled upon them on Youtube after watching an episode of Weird Fruit, by Weird Explorer. I purchased a large box of these and they came quickly. I got 6 pods in a large order and all of them came in great shape and none were rotten. To eat them I split one pod in half and removed one of the seeds that were covered in a slimy membrane and popped it in my mouth. The taste is hard to describe, but the best I can do is say that it was sweet, sour and had a strong citrus taste. It was a mixture of mango, oranges and lemons. To be honest they were not the greatest things to eat since you really just sucked on them and spit them out, but if you wanted to you could also take the time to eat the membrane off the seeds. But by doing so you also had a chance of biting into the seeds, which in my case were bitter. I would have liked them more if they had some "meat" to them. Overall I had a fun time experiencing and tasting cacao pods. While they were not the greatest things to eat, what I did eat was delicious and had a great flavor. Also as a first time Miami Fruit buyer, I had a great experience and will be back for more exotic fruits!

This is the first time I have had raw cacao, and I like it! I ate the fruit along with the bean, and I didn't find the bean to be bitter like I expected.

Just as great as the last shipment of cacao

Arrived perfectly ripe, all were consistently fresh! Plopped most pods in the fridge to keep them fresh for a couple weeks, and put some pulp in the freezer to savor in the future. Cacao fruit is awesome
